Description
Grade 8 / Diploma Treble (59 pieces, 162 pages)
The note range for Grade 8 / Diploma Treble is two and a half octaves, Low F to very High C, fully chromatic. The fingerings for the highest notes are given on the pages where the notes first appear. Chords adorn some pieces especially slow movements by Bach. They should be played bottom to top, evenly and rapidly. There is a wealth of material in the 162 pages of this book, some known, much of it unknown. A few pieces would sound well on sopranino. A close study of the Telemann and Quantz Fantasias will reap rewards. Sonatas, concertos and partitas will also bring rewards and much pleasure. The Bach Partita No.3 for unaccompanied violin is reproduced in full. A challenge for all players. The book concludes with the Sonatinas of Walter Leigh and Lennox Berkeley. Sample pages from this book are shown above.
This music is also suitable for: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Saxophone, Violin, etc.
